October 4, 2017 - Kitchener, Canada. Unitron, a global innovator of advanced hearing solutions, today announced Stride M R, the company’s latest rechargeable behind-the-ear (BTE), expanding the company’s choice of rechargeable options. Unitron also announced Insera, a new in-the-ear (ITE) product family, to provide a full line up of RICs, BTEs and now ITEs on the Tempus sound processing platform. Combined, the new products allow patients more flexibility and freedom while enjoying great conversations.
Stride M R - A rechargeable BTE that is always ready for anything and will never run out of charge
According to industry research, 70% of patients have indicated a preference for rechargeable hearing instruments1. Stride M R addresses that growing patient demand for flexibility and freedom with BTE that is always ready for anything. Just as patients have become accustomed to charging their smartphones, Stride M R offers similar charge and go capability. Wearers simply charge the hearing instrument overnight, for just 5 – 7 hours, and the hearing instrument is ready to perform for a full 24 hours, including 90 minutes of streaming or 16 hours of continuous streaming. There is no fuss, nor buttons to fiddle with. Patients simply pull out their Stride M R hearing aids, put them on and go. Because hearing happens around the clock, Stride M R offers wearers the flexibility to swap rechargeable battery cells with traditional zinc-air batteries at any time, ensuring patients will never run out of charge.
Stride M R is Unitron’s second rechargeable based on award-winning designs. The company released its first rechargeable Moxi Fit R, the world’s smallest rechargeable hearing instrument, in February 2017 alongside the Tempus sound processing platform.
“For today’s healthy agers, it is all about flexibility and freedom. And Stride M R delivers on both fronts, with a revolutionary BTE rechargeable that offers patients radical reliability, extreme ease of use, and award-winning product design, available on Tempus, a progressive platform recognized for delivering great conversations,” says Andre de Goeij, Senior Director, Product Management and Strategic Initiatives for Unitron.
Stride M R will be available to customers worldwide in October 2017
Optimal directional performance with Insera and EarMatch
Also announced today and driven by Tempus is the Insera ITE family. Addressing the fact that “no two ears are built alike,” Insera ITE’s sophisticated EarMatch process offers our best directional performance by compensating for individual ear anatomy. This frees up the advanced features in Tempus making speech easier to understand, and bringing patients closer to the heart of the conversations they don’t want to miss.
