Hannah Worthley, aged 31, has a full, active life. She wanted a set of hearing instruments that could keep up with her busy schedule as a Registered General Nurse, and her future plans that include travel and kickboxing lessons.

Hannah was born with binaural hearing loss. She wore her first set of hearing aids at age three and a half, and has read lips to compensate for her severe hearing loss. In some social situations, she felt more like an observer than an active participant since hearing speech proved consistently challenging.

“At work, I can push patients along in their wheelchairs and have a conversation with them as we walk, instead of having to stop and look at them when we speak,” Hannah explains. She recently traveled to Northern Ireland and could engage in dialogue with the local residents, a task that would have been too daunting with her previous hearing instruments, because of the different speech accents, and her past challenges of understanding consonants and words.
