Lois Haider has worn hearing aids since 1994. She was never completely satisfied with her previous hearing aids, as she still had difficulty hearing and understanding people in many situations, especially in noisy restaurants.

When eating in the apartment’s dining room, the servers often clank silverware, dishes and cups. Lois used to have to turn down her previous hearing aids to make listening comfortable, but that made it more difficult to hear people at her table. With her Yuu hearing devices that incorporate antiShock™ technology, she doesn’t have to turn down her hearing aids and still does great "hearing and following the conversations."
Lois prefers using Yuu’s remote Smart Control. She adjusts her hearing device settings without having to put her hand up to her hearing instruments.
"I’ve had difficulty finding the volume control wheel on the hearing aid itself. The buttons and controls on Smart Control are easier to manipulate."
