We care deeply

At Unitron, “we care deeply” is one of our core values. Yes, we care deeply about hearing; this is the main focus of our business. But we also care deeply about — and want to make a difference in — the communities where we live and work. This is why we believe so strongly in giving back through a number of philanthropic initiatives.

Unitron Community Connection
Since 2010, Unitron with support from our Canadian customers, has raised $100,000 for the Lions Foundation of Canada’s Dog Guide Hearing Ear program. With these funds, 5 fully-trained hearing guide dogs have been given to those in need. A hearing guide dog has a positive impact not only the dog’s new owner, but their families, friends and co-workers.

Training Dog Guides in basic household manners and guiding skills costs about $20,000. Lions Foundation of Canada, the founder and major supporter of Dog Guides Canada, is a national charity that provides service to Canadians with a medical or physical disability in the areas of mobility, safety and independence. The Foundation provides fully trained dogs at no cost to the recipients.
